Deanna “Dee” Kaylor, 64, Minot, died suddenly on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 in her home. Her loving husband, Tim, was at her side.

Deanna Jean Ehlers was born on August 20, 1957 in Fargo, ND to Ralph and Betty Ehlers. She was raised in Minot, attended Bel Air Elementary School, Ramstad Junior High School and graduated from Minot High School in 1975. As a young adult she was employed at KXMC TV for several years. One of her most talked about memories from her position there was her role in helping host the Jerry Lewis Telethon.

In her thirties she overcame a major battle with Breast Cancer. After Deanna became cancer free, she was very active in Breast Cancer Awareness Support Groups, helping other women going through the same fight.

Deanna married Timothy Kaylor on February 8, 1991 at Christ Lutheran Church in Minot. They made their home in Minot, where she was employed at Concrete Mobile for over 20 years. She then took a period of time off after welcoming her daughter Lindsey into the world in 1996. She returned to the workforce in 2002 and held a handful of office positions, the most recent being office manager at Souris Valley Ready Mix for thirteen years. Deanna retired in June of 2021.

Deanna’s loving family includes her husband of 31 years: Tim; daughter: Lindsey (Kouadjo) Bini; father: Ralph Ehlers of Minot; siblings: Ronald (Joanne) Ehlers of Mission Viejo CA, Nancy (David) Rehbein of Farmington NM, and Randal (Sandra) Ehlers of Burlington; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Deanna was preceded in death by her mother: Betty Ehlers.

Celebration of the Life of Deanna Kaylor: Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Christ Lutheran Church – Minot.
Interment will be in the Bantry Cemetery, Bantry, ND.
Visitation: Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home – Minot.
