Ky Andrew LeFors, 16, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at his home in Minot. Ky was born October 11, 2005 at Royal Air Force Lakenheath in the United Kingdom to Robert and Asheley (Cornell) LeFors.
Ky, also known as Raven, was a junior at Magic City Campus High School. He enjoyed science, aviation, and photography, often studying the finer points of each. Ky was active with Minot Youth for Christ and spent much of his free time playing drums at The Rock, the group’s youth center. Previously, Ky attended Central Campus High School in Minot, Memorial Middle School on Minot Air Force Base and was homeschooled while his family was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base near Shreveport, Louisiana.
Ky is survived by his loving parents, Robert and Asheley of Minot. He is also survived by siblings Raegan LeFors and Jaron LeFors of Minot, maternal grandparents Richard and Maureen Cornell of Syracuse, Utah, paternal grandmother Susan Oldaker of Layton, Utah, uncle Chris Cornell of Syracuse, Utah, aunt Melissa (BJ) Bouwhuis of Clinton, Utah, aunt Michelle (Brett) Painter of Woodbine, Maryland, uncle Joseph LeFors of Rapid City, South Dakota, uncle Stephen (Sara) LeFors of Ogden, Utah, aunt Sarah Oldaker of Alexandria, Virginia, uncle Brandyn Oldaker of Layton, Utah, aunt Sylvia Oldaker of Layton, Utah, and cousins Ryker, Jade, Corwin, Julian, Kyden, Kaelyn, Jaxson, McKayla, Isabella, and Solomon.
Ky will be remembered by his friends and family for his wicked sense of humor, being a jokester, his intelligence, his art of persuasion, his protective nature, his loyalty, his thoughtful listening, and his love of drums.
A memorial service celebrating Ky’s life will be held on November 6th from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Rock, 318 5th Ave. NW, Minot. Come as you are; casual fellowship will follow after the service.
