Benjamin Clayton, Los Angeles, CA, formerly of Minot, died September 9, 2022 from injuries sustained in a vehicle/skateboarding accident.

Benjamin Blake Clayton was born December 4, 1996, in Minot, ND To Tama Kromrey and David Clayton. He grew up in the ‘Magic City’ and spent the years of his youth loving Star Wars and skateboarding with his best friend Chevy Rivinius. Ben was a student of drawing, karate and boxing. He developed a lifelong love of physical fitness, going to the gym and working out daily since his teen years. Ben had an affinity for ‘fancy’ cars, owning a BMW and an Audi for a time.

Benjamin graduated from Minot High School in 2016. He moved to Los Angeles, California in 2017, to explore his career as a music artist. Ben was known to be determined and would exhaust every avenue possible to accomplish his goal, but always put others before himself.

Ben had special relationships throughout his life that included his grandmother Margaret and high school sweetheart Oliva. He had a contagious laugh that filled the largest of rooms and will be remembered always for his mischievous grin. Ben was blessed to have many to call friends during his life.

Blessed to share in his life include his parents David and Tama; siblings Kyle Clayton, Lincoln, ND and Kristen Clayton, Fargo, ND; uncles Shane Kromrey and Al Clayton; aunt Janice Wright along with numerous cousins and many friends.

Ben was preceded in death by his grandparents Eddie and Margaret Kromrey and Dorothy Ahmann.

Visitation for family and friends: Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Liturgy of the Word Service: 5:15 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2022 at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
