Jerriellen Feldner, 81 of Devils Lake, ND died Thursday, July 28, 2022 in a Devils Lake Hospital.

Jerri was born on January 10, 1941, in Minot, ND to Adolph and Mariellen (Cuddigan) Feldner. The family moved to Casper, WY in 1942 where her father worked at the air base as a traffic controller. In 1946 they moved to Minot where she attended elementary school. The family moved to Devils Lake in 1953 where she continued school graduating in 1959. After graduation, she attended college at Lake Region State College, Trinity School of Nursing, St Luke’s School of Nursing, University of Mary and finishing with a master’s degree from Maine. After working in various registered nursing positions, Jerri began a longtime career at Mercy Hospital (now CHI) in Devils Lake in 1974 as a staff nurse and nursing supervisor. She worked there until her retirement in 2009.

Jerri was also highly active in local and state Emergency Medical Services (EMS) education, training, and boards. Her car was always full to the brim of EMS testing and training supplies, and she put many miles on her cars as she traveled across the state to various sites. 

Jerri was a kind and generous person always putting family and friends first. She never forgot a birthday or a special occasion and always called family and friends on their special days.

Jerri is survived by sisters Judy Roed, Minot and Pat (Bill) Roed, Devils Lake; nephews Dale (Niki) Roed and Robert (Melissa) Roed, Minot; MariLou (Dan) Harveland, Everett, WA and Sean (Tammie) Roed, Devils Lake; great nephews Andy (Libbi) Roed, Ewa Beach, HI and Casey Roed, Minot, and Michael Roed, Devils Lake; and great nieces Kristina (Jake Gnerre) Hess and Ericka Roed of Minot, and Tawnee Roed, Devils Lake; and great-great nephews Cooper and Niles Hess, Minot; and great-great niece Aloura Roed, Minot.

Jerri is preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law Gary Roed and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Service to Celebrate Jerri’s Life:  11:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2022, at Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot, with visitation held one hour prior to the start of the service.

Interment:  Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot immediately after the service in the church.
