It is with a heavy heart that we share that Isabella (Bella) Knupp passed away on December 1, 2021, after a courageous and valiant battle with her cancer. She had osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer.

Isabella Lynn started her journey in this life February 12, 2006, in Mount Holly, New Jersey, joining her parents Damon and Ashley (Rummel) Knupp. She moved with her military family to Elmendorf AFB in Alaska spending the early years of her childhood there until a move to the ‘Magic City’ of Minot at Minot AFB in 2014. Bella brought her light to North Plains Elementary and Memorial Middle School at Minot AFB. She was attending her sophomore year of High School at Central Campus in Minot.

Bella is a bright, talented, inspirational 15-year-old that had a goal of a career in the medical field as she navigated her own diagnosis, earning the respect of her medical team but more importantly becoming more than a patient to everyone in charge of her treatment. Episodes of the show ‘Friends’ helped her through appointment filled days and she was able to meet ‘Phoebe’ as part of her Make-A-Wish over zoom. Bella was honored to be the recipient of the Hero Of The Day Award from Minot AFB. She valued relationships, led with kindness, and showed many people the value of life through her unwavering spirit.

Bella will be remembered for her unwavering positivity and always having a smile on her face despite the never-ending appointments, procedures, medications, or pain she was had to endure. Bella had a beautiful sense of humor and gentleness of spirit that lit up any room she entered. She will be missed most by those who were blessed to share in her life.

Bella is survived by her loving parents Damon and Ashley Knupp, Minot; brother Justin Knupp and sister Madilynn, both of Minot; grandparents Robin and Roger Rummel, Minot and Barry (Melanie) Knupp, Hillsdale, PA and Angie Serfass, Greenock, PA; Aunt Melanie Serfass, Greenock, PA; Uncles Michael (Rebecca) Rummel, Mahaffey, PA and Dave (Jamie) Knupp, Germany along with too many friends to count.
