Donalda Ann Grafsgard

Donalda “Donnie” Grafsgard, 92, rural Minot, passed on to be with the Lord Friday October 8, 2021, at Trinity Medical Center.

Donalda Ann (Spaeth) Grafsgard was born on May 12, 1929, in Rolla, North Dakota to Frank and Anna (Ebel) Spaeth.  She was raised in the Rolla area until her and her mother moved to Grand Forks North Dakota where she graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1948.

In Grand Forks she met and married the love of her life Robert Bruce Grafsgard on January 15. 1950.  After living a short time in Grand Forks and Bismarck they moved to Minot where they made their lifelong home. Robert passed away on June 25, 2008.

Donalda was a stay-at-home Mom raising 4 children and being “Mom” and “Gramma” to many others that came into her life through the years. She fulfilled a lifelong dream in 1986 when she became a Tupperware Consultant.  She loved horseback riding, gardening, bowling, baking and doing crafts. She was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins and the Minot Minotauros, she affectionately called them “her boys”.

She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Tebben, Casper WY, son Joseph (Marilyn) Grafsgard, Huron SD, and daughter Ann (Brad) Grafsgard Hanneman, Rock Springs WY, her brother Kenneth Spaeth, Grand Forks ND and 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Donalda was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Bruce Grafsgard, son Bruce Lee Grafsgard, brothers Arthur Spaeth and Harold Spaeth, son-in-law Terry Lee Tebben and grandson Michael Lee Saunders. 

Funeral service:  11:00 a.m. November 6, 2021, at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot. A time of sharing and refreshments will be held at the family home at 3501 County Road 19 following the service.
Visitation: November 5, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to an organization of the donor’s choice.
