Lucille “Lucy” Arnone, 80, formerly of Minot, passed away June 27, 2021, peacefully in her home in Everett, MA, surrounded by her loving family.
Lucille Arliss (Bjelland) Arnone (Tunta) was born on October 6, 1940 in Minot N.D. to Leonard and Alvie (Berg) Bjelland. Lucy attended grade school in Hilton Township, she graduated from Minot High School in 1958. After graduation she met her former husband Joseph Arnone and married on November 26, 1960. They moved to MA and started a family.
Lucy worked various jobs but became a CNA for her love of working with the elderly. She was an active member of the community and was always volunteering at the polls. She was beautiful, smart, loving, and had a wicked sense of humor.
She enjoyed reading, playing games, crocheting, bingo, the casino (The River), sports (Go SOX), and spending time with her friends and family. The only thing Lucy didn’t like was vegetables.
Lucy was a beloved mother of her children, Joseph Arnone Jr. (Joey), Sandra Longfellow (Sandy), Catherine Arnone (Cat), and Michelle Smith (Shelly). A cherished grandmother to April Woodbury, Sarah Arnone, Seth Arnone, Gage Arnone, Ryan Arnone, Ashton Smith, Saul Arnone, Solomon Arnone, Devlin Smith, Joseph Arnone lll, and Dolly Arnone. Also, her great grandchildren Giovanni Eliuk, Whitney Arnone, Kiara Arnone, Sydney Eliuk, Ivory Arnone, Kizzy Arnone, Kristinna Arnone, Kamiah Arnone, and Kayvon Arnone; Surviving are her dearest siblings Margret Wiggins, Stanley Bjelland (Stan), Christian Bjelland (Chris), and many nieces and nephews.
Her youngest brother, Gary Bjelland, proceeded her in death.
Celebration of Life will be held Friday July 9, 2021, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Boston Cremation 287 Main Street in Malden, MA.
Gathering of family and friends: Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home.
Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2021 at Spring Lake Cemetery, rural Douglas, ND.
