Carl David Kidder, 44, Fort Yates

Our big brother was our protector. He was our families patriarch. He watched over us and comforted us. He loved being a brother and an uncle. He loved driving semi trucks and taking care of horses. He always had a hug for anyone he would greet. He always shared a laugh with anyone he would meet. Our lives forever changed in August 2020. Our brother was young and healthy but this big, strong, loving and caring bear of a man stood no chance against a virus that took his life in a matter of weeks. No one shows you how to live without your brother. My sisters and I will be forever grateful for all the years we got to stand in this mans shadow and feel loved and protected!
