Branda Lee Backman, 60, of Bismarck, left to be reunited with her loved one’s in Heaven on August 25, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held at Deep Water Bay, Lake Sakakawea, on September 1 to September 4, 2023.
Branda was born in Belcourt, ND on September 20, 1962, to Harold and Christine Backman.
Our mother touched so many hearts and blessed so many souls with her time with us here, and some without even knowing it. Just in her own being also known as Aunti Branda or mom to many, she was always so loving. She gave hugs to everybody (the real kind of hugs) and she opened her door to whoever would knock, and greet them with a smile or maybe sometimes not. She was never ashamed of shit, who she was or anybody who thought different. Oh, How Glorious the gates of Heaven must be welcoming our mother.
Branda will be deeply missed by her daughters Jade Backman and Heather Berdahl, son, Nick Backman. Sisters, Linda Mosser, Myra Anderson, and Velma Redding; Brothers, Byron Backman, Mylin Backman, and Clayton Backman; grandkids, Camdem Backman, Taven Backman, Adrienne Carpenter, Landyn Fred, Kaedynce Clarkson, Armani Berdahl, Kaesen Repp, Kieryn Repp, and Codi-lynn Cockrell.
Branda was preceded in death by her son Anthony Backman, brothers, Brian Backman, and Myron Backman; Sister Myrna Stockman; Mother Christine Backman, Father Harold Backman, and Sister Diane.
