The gates of Heaven opened on June 27, 2022, to welcome Patricia Lee Knudson.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2022, at Church of Corpus Christi, 1919 N 2nd St, Bismarck, with Msgr. Schumacher officiating.

Burial will held be at Mandan Union Cemetery, 1600 Mandan Avenue NE, Mandan.

A Parish Rosary will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Patty was born in Mandan on September 18, 1960, to Myles and Elva (Bechtold) Knudson.

Patty was born with cerebral palsy and attended school in Mandan. While she was living in Fargo, she worked at CHI Friendship and DWAC. When Patty moved to Bismarck, she was involved with HIT, Inc and worked at Pride, Inc. She was very proud to get a paycheck, it didn’t matter how much money she made…she was always very excited.

She was an accomplished bowler and bowled in the Special Olympics for many years. She won numerous medals and ribbons. She loved playing BINGO and cards, especially “Kings in the Corner.” Patty loved camping and swimming with her family and going to Camp Grassick.

Patty is survived by her brothers, Bob (Lynn), Lakeville, MN and Bill (Kathy), Bismarck; sister, Sandy (Pat) Stockert, Renner, SD; sister-in-law, Joan Knudson, Boise, ID and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Myles and Elva; sisters, Deb and Kathy Knudson; and brothers, Ken and Doug.
