Marlene Blumhagen, 85, passed away on June 2, 2022, in a Bismarck care center. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Bismarck Funeral Home. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed on the Bismarck Funeral Home Facebook page. Visitation will be one hour prior to the start of the service at the Bismarck Funeral Home.
Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Marlene was born on February 20, 1937, to Jake and Natalie Pfennig in Beulah, ND. On March 31, 1957, she was united in marriage to Raymond Blumhagen in McClusky, ND. Marlene worked for Robert’s Floral for many years as a floral designer and had a special talent in designing arrangements. She was an avid reader and loved her books. Marlene also had many hobbies like collecting angels, buttons “Button Lady”, making candles and counted cross stitching.
Those remaining to share her memories are her daughter: Tamra (special friend Roger); sons: Randy (special friend Anna), Cary (Dorena), Kevin (Kathy), grandsons: Drew, Lucas, Seth, and Bradley; granddaughter: Jennifer; great grandchildren: Taylor, Liam, Elijah, and Medora; brothers: Leo (Sharon) Pfennig, Clint (Joann) Pfennig; sisters: Jan Myers; Norma Reich; sister-in-law: Betty (Charles) Martin; and many special nieces and nephews and their families.
