Obituary

Christopher John Pack, 46, passed away on January 16, 2022, with his family by his side. Chris was so strong and brave while fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM Thursday, January 20, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mandan with Fr. Joshua Waltz as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 19th with a 6:00 PM Prayer Service at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home in Mandan.

Chris was born on August 13, 1975 to John Pack and Barbara Ebel in Bakersfield, California. He attended high school in Houston, Texas and graduated from Bismarck State College with a degree in Power Plant Technology and also Automotive Collision Technology.

He married Becky Miller, the love of his life, on May 29, 1998. Together they have one son, Shawn Christopher Pack, born June 29, 2004.

Chris loved his family and friends and was always there for them when they needed help with anything. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, camping, fishing, and hunting. Having a good barbeque and shop party with family, friends, and neighbors was something Chris always looked forward to. Chris was a great pool player and enjoyed all the good times with the Last Call team. He spent hours in his shop working on different projects and getting his 69’ Camaro looking just right. Chris was skilled and talented in so many ways including working on cars, remodeling, tilework and building decks. No project was too difficult for Chris to tackle.

Chris’s son Shawn was his pride and joy. He loved watching Shawn play golf and he always said Shawn will do great things in life and accomplish so much.

Chris is survived by his wife of 23 years Becky; his son Shawn; siblings Andy and Kami; mother Barbara (Ross) Ebel; father John (Linda) Pack; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Richard and Melinda Miller; sister-in-law Amanda (Ed) Collett; and nieces and nephews Madison, Lynnsie, Jayden, Smith, Mika, Jacob, Isobel.

Chris was preceded in death by his niece Kaitlynn Pack, grandparents Montana and Elbert Pack, & Jay and Arlene Barnosky; and one uncle Ron Pack.
