Our beloved son, Aaron Michael Schmidt, 22, Mandan, passed away on July 29, 2021.
He was born in Bismarck on July 21, 1999.
Aaron enjoyed traveling and wanting to explore more places while making friends wherever he went. With his heart of gold, he never knew a stranger and once came home without shoes because someone else needed them more than he did. He was an old soul and grandma’s boy. Always dreaming up big plans for him and grandma. Aaron also enjoyed working on cars with his dad and pedal bikes with his brother Travis. If you thought something was useless, he would find a way to make it useful.
Aaron is survived by his parents, Tim Downes, South Dakota, and Kristen Schmidt, North Dakota; siblings, Alyssa Johnson, South Dakota, Rylan Anderson, South Dakota, and Travis Schmidt, North Dakota; grandma, Virginia Schmidt, North Dakota; and other grandparents great grandparents, aunts, uncles, great uncles, great aunts, and several cousins whom he loved.
He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Ron “Bruno” Schmidt; cousin, Michael Schmidt; and several other great-aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck.
Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.
