Cynthia Trainor

Cynthia Trainor, 54, of Minot, died Friday, January 9, 2026, in a Minot hospital.

Cynthia Zoriada Trainor was born on September 20, 1971 to parents Antonio and Gloria Chavez, in Oakland, California. She was raised and educated in Sacramento, where she remained until moving to Minot in 1994 to be closer to family.

After moving to Minot, Cynthia worked at Soaring Eagle Outfitters and also did hotel cleaning. She remained doing this until she was no longer able to work due to disability.

In her free time, Cynthia enjoyed being social and spending time with friends and family. She was a dog lover at heart and owned many small dogs over the course of her life. She was known to spoil them with love and human food. The way she loved her dogs was the way she loved her family; fully, fiercely, and without holding anything back.

Cynthia was a proud grandmother of six and her grandchildren were always the love of her life. Cynthia lived fully, loved deeply, and reminded all of us that joy, connection, and a good time shared with others is what really matters. She will be deeply missed.

Her loving family includes: her children, Anthony Chavez, Jonathan (Jada) Trainor, and Christine (James) Gronneberg; siblings: Albert (Ramona) Gonzales, Anthony Gonzales, Rita English, and Rosanna Gonzales; grandchildren: Julian, Carter, Licoln, Weston, and Soren Trainor, and Amara Gronneberg.

Cynthia was preceded in death by: her parents, Antonio and Gloria Chavez; and her siblings, Arthur, Alejandro, Renata, and Ruby Gonzalez.
