Esther Wick, 80, Minot, formerly of Bottineau, died Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in a Minot assisted living facility.

Esther Cecelia (Cossette) Wick was born in Bottineau, ND on March 24, 1945. She was raised and educated in Bottineau, later moving when she met and married Carlos Wick. They made their home in Minot, ND where they were married for 24 years, until they divorced. Through this union, they welcomed 4 children: Dennis, Robbie, Tanya and David.

t-ball, baseball, softball and basketball games. She would help Carlos coach grade school basketball whenever she could.

Following their divorce, Esther worked for several years as a housekeeper and then as the head of housekeeping at the International Inn in Minot. She wanted to better herself, so she completed the GED program and then went on to earn a Criminal Justice degree from Minot State University.

Esther then went on to work for several years at the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch until her retirement.

Until her decline in health, she loved to spend time outside gardening and planting flowers.

In 2023, Esther suffered a stroke. She moved into Northern Lights Rehab and Long-Term Care (formerly Minot Health and Rehab), where she resided until her passing.
