Tillie Dybing, 107, Detroit Lakes, formerly of Minot, died Monday, July 5, 2021, in a Detroit Lakes long term care facility.

Tillie was born August 28, 1913, in Harvey, ND to Andrew and Elizabeth (Kafton) Bauer. She grew up in Harvey, ND and was educated at Harvey High School, graduating in 1931.

Tillie was united in marriage to George Dybing on November 29, 1934, in Fessenden, ND. They resided in Harvey, where the owned and operated the Shell Oil Service Station later known as the Mobil Oil Service Station until moving to Minot in 1941.

Tillie spent her working years as a sales associate working for Bowles Junior, Woolworths, Buttrey’s Clothing and Bader’s Fine Apparel. She retired at the age of 83. George passed away on October 28, 1997.

Tillie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she was active in circle and helped with the Scandinavian Dinner. She also volunteered at the Minot Hostfest for many years. Tillie will be remembered for always having the perfect hairdo and red fingernails. She was loved by all who shared in her life and her personality shined as bright as her smile.

Tillie is survived by her children Myron (Pam) Dybing, Detroit Lakes, MN and Susan (Marv) Berke, Plymouth, MN; grandchildren Jeff (Melanie) Myer, David (Kristin) Smith, Scott Berke and Elizabeth (Des) Christopher; great-grandchildren Meagan Krogh, Carson and Kate Smith and Liam and Claire Christopher; great-great grandchildren Krash and Karvey Krogh along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Tillie was preceded in death by her parents, husband George and brother Don Bauer.

Interment:  Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service at the church on Wednesday July 14, 2021.
Memorials are preferred to the charity of your choice.
Thomas Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
