Maxine Jensen, 78, of Bismarck, passed away on Nov. 20, 2023 in a Bismarck Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 1:00 p.m. at First Lutheran
Church, Bismarck, with Rev Allen Wagner officiating. Burial will be held on Dec. 3, 2023 at Norde St. Olaf Cemetery in Larson, ND at 1:00 p.m.
Maxine was born September 22, 1945 to Francis and Rose Jensen in Powers Lake, ND.
Upon graduating from high school Maxine managed the Tastee Freeze in Columbus. She then moved to Arizona where she lived for several years having various jobs. She returned to ND and worked at Mercy Hospital in the dietary department. Pursuing a dream she went on to massage school. Later she spent time to care for her brother, as well as her mother and other elderly people.
Flowers and house plants were something she greatly enjoyed, as well as any book she could find to read. A big part of Maxine’s life was teaching others on natural health.
She will be deeply missed by her sister, Florence (Ed) Weippert; two nephews, Emil (Nicole) and Gene; her great nephew and niece, Alexander and Adrionna; a longtime friend, Everett Potter; and friends Pastor Allen Wagner and his wife Robyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a nephew.
