Amelia loved life, her family and the Lord. She was born in Halliday on June 12, 1942, the daughter of Joseph and Christine (Hauck) Leintz. Growing up she attended school in Halliday and graduated with the class of 1961. Amy married Victor Gegelman in 1962 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Halliday. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Michael, Renee and Jerome, whom they raised in Dickinson. Alongside farming and ranching in Halliday, she and her husband Victor, were proud to be the third generation to work the same family farm. Amy and Victor spent their retirement years doing what she and he loved to do the most, working the family homestead. During her pre-retirement working years, Amy operated her own cleaning service. She also loved to cook and bake for everyone and even published a Petroleum Wives Recipe Book. Amy enjoyed vacationing, camping and fishing with her family and especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Traveling around the country was a wonderful pastime for her. Amy had a personal, uplifting relationship with her Lord and daily devotions were very important to her. She and Victor hosted many Bible studies for family and friends. Amy will be missed by many.

Amy is survived by her sons, Michael (Crystal) Gegelman of Concord, NC; Jerome (Kendra) Gegelman of Midland, TX; daughter, Renee (Bo) Roberts of Sioux Falls, SD; brother-in-law, Roger; seven grandchildren, Rachael Roberts, Christopher (Jasmine) Roberts, Shawn Roberts, Jonathan (Charis) Gegelman, Nichole (Cameron) Berg, Christian (Katie) Gegelman, Jordan (Samuel) Higgins; three great-grandchildren, Jadalynn, Carson and Chloe.
