R.G. “Marty” Peck

Marty Peck, 48, Watford City, ND passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2023 in Minot, ND surrounded by his wife and children after his courageous battle with cancer.

R.G. “Marty” Martin Peck was born on August 22, 1975 in Owosso, MI to R.G. and Carol Sue (Martin) Peck.

Marty married his best friend and the love of his life, Brandi Lin, on May 2, 1994 in Las Vegas, NV. Together they made their home in Caro, MI where they started their family and welcomed three beautiful children. In 2008, his love for adventure brought the family’s journey West. By 2011 the family settled in North Dakota where Marty began a successful career in the oil and gas industry. With his perseverance and drive Marty quickly advanced and made a name for himself. He displayed an extraordinary dedication to service and had a natural ability as an integral leader.

Marty’s commitment and compassionate nature was not only recognized by his family, but also showed in his professionalism and the bonds he formed with coworkers. He was generous to a fault with a very altruistic personality.

Marty was a treasured husband, father, family member, and friend whose memory will remain alive in the many lives he touched.

Marty was an intelligent man gifted with the ability to work with his hands. He had a creative mind and was able to excel at any project he started. He passed his artistic creativity on to his three children.

Marty enjoyed current events, music, reading, writing, and watching old movies and television shows. The simple pleasures in life brought Marty the biggest joys. He could often be found with his arms lovingly wrapped around his wife on a quiet evening spent with the children for family nights. He was a devoted father and husband, placing the greatest importance on providing for his family. He was a passionate individual who brought joy to those around him. He had an amazing energy and approached every day with a positive attitude. His warm personality and fiery spirit were a constant source of happiness for his loved ones.

Marty is survived by his wife of 29 years Brandi Lin; children: Raegan Gillian Peck (Walter John Winkler), Reese Garrett-Martin Peck, and Rome Gabriel Peck; sisters: Sherry Peck DeVos (Steve DeVos), and Rebecca Baley; brother: Rodney Peck (Marcus Phillips); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, R.G. Peck, mother, Carol Sue Peck, and his sister, Kimberly Peck Diethrich.

Celebration of the Life of Marty Peck: Monday, November 6, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in Our Redeemer’s Church – Minot
Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
