Emilee Kay-TianXing (Breuer) Arriaga, 28 years old, was called into His presence on October 2, 2023 at Trinity Hospital in Minot, ND. While our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing that her heart is now whole.

Emilee was born approximately June 24, 1995 in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China. She was adopted by Dr. Glynn and Kim Breuer, through Holt, January 30, 1996 at the age of seven months old. She came home to Minot, ND on February 7, 1996 accompanied by Kim and her eldest brother, Stephen. Emilee was the first of the Breuers’ beloved adopted children; TianXing meaning, “Star from Heaven”. Her parents feel a tremendous privilege to be her mom and dad and will deeply miss their Emmy Lou.

Gone far too soon, our Emmy was a vibrant and happy little girl who could charm the socks off total strangers. As a toddler, she lovingly called her mother “Meemaw”. Emilee developed into an extremely smart and capable young lady. Emilee was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from school at home, one year early, in 2012. While at home, she was involved in AWANA and helped with the XYZ seniors’ group at First Baptist Church, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, youth group, and other activities. Emilee had many friends and a team of doctors who loved her so.

Emilee was close to and made quick friends with Olive Garden, Longfellow Elementary and Cookies For You staff, all of which she worked at before having to put her health first.

Emilee’s greatest joy in life were her two boys, Noah (8yo) and Jonah (6yo). She was a wonderful mother and a safe space for the boys to share their joys and frustrations. Emilee benefited her boys greatly by working to facilitate a healthy co-parent relationship with ex-husband, Noe Arriaga.

Emilee shared her life with: children, Noah and Jonah Arriaga, Minot; parents, Dr. Glynn and Kim Breuer, Minot; siblings, Stephen (Liz), Justin (Kasey), Minot, Kate (Jacob) Aultman, Fort Belvoir, VA, Kerrie and Jenna, Chicago, IL, Nick, and Caroline, both of Minot; nephews, Maddox and Landon, Minot, Elias and Ezra, Fort Belvoir, VA; nieces, Aubrey, Minot and Emory, Fort Belvoir, VA; and her dog, Taco.

She was preceded in passing by her brother, Nathanael Breuer; grandparents, Virgil and Peggy Wills and Verlan and Ann Breuer; and her cousin, Austin Wills.
