On August 8th, 1971, McRoy Ivol Charging was born in Garrison, ND to Kenneth and Theresa (Star) Charging. Horse Trail was a child of the Waterbuster Clan. McRoy and his mother Theresa were adopted by the late Hazel (Driver) Blake. While in his younger years, he was raised on a Ranch and farmed with his parents Kenneth and Theresa, brother Woody, and nephew Kyle west of white shield on BIA 9. Growing older he excelled in sports which included Cross Country, Football and Basketball. His schooling started in White Shield first, then New Town for a few years. During his time in New Town was where he met Bridgette Brady, whom he later married in the 1990’s. From this marriage, they had 5 children, Aries, AnnRose, Dylan, Eden, and Ronin. Throughout his life, he worked many various jobs, making him a jack of all trades. His greatest accomplishments or proud moments in his life were winning the HWY 23 West League Champions pool tournament twice, among many other pool tournaments, also participating in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, NV. He was a proud pool player of the Nezzers. Mac enjoyed laughing and joking around with friends and family until HE busted a gut if you knew how he teased. He loved playing pool at his home when friends or family came over to visit, he liked to “toy around” with his competition he’d always say while making them mad, and he would still be laughing or joking around with them. With him being out in the country by himself, he enjoyed the country life and cruising the backroads, being very protective of the Charging Corner he would always call it. Being so close to the lake, Mac loved fishing, but hunting was his passion no matter what season. Mac was a diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan, win or lose they were always winners in his eyes. He also enjoyed jamming out to many various genres of music from pow-wow music to country, alternative, rap, and obviously his favorite Classic Rock. He will be missed so much and was loved by so many friends and family everywhere.

He is survived by his children AnnRose, Dylan, and Ronin, Auntie Janice Charging, Nephew Kyle Star (Clarice), Sisters Karen (John) Gillis, and Theresa Star, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Proceeded in death by his parents Kenneth and Theresa (Star) Charging, his daughter Aries and Eden Charging, his brothers Woodrow Charging, Monte and Sam Star, Arby Charging, and many more family members.
