Bradley James Metz, 41, of Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away August 15th, 2023, after complications due to Colon Cancer.

A Public Visitation will be held at 12:00 pm on August 21st, 2023. Followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm at Bismarck Funeral Home, Bismarck, North Dakota with Reverend Allen Wagner officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Brad was born in Minot, ND but lived in Bismarck, ND most of his life. He attended Bismarck High School and graduated in 2000. After high school he went on to study at North Dakota State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in both Political Science and Sociology. He was a huge fan of NDSU football.

Brad met his wife Heather junior year of high school however they did not start dating until they were both students at NDSU. Brad and Heather (Fercho) married September 24, 2005, at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, in Bismarck, ND.

Brad worked for 10+ years for the North Dakota Legislative Council. He enjoyed his work family there. He had a passion for politics, and he liked how this job lined up with that interest he held. Brad was first and foremost an amazing husband, father, and friend. He loved his family more than the world and most of his free time was spent with them. Brad especially loved being a father and spending time with his kids. His kids were his pride and joy. Brad also enjoyed baking and cooking so much so he was famous for his amazing scones. He always loved creating in the kitchen. He also enjoyed reading, playing games, and music. Brad loved music of all kinds and going to music concerts. His favorite band of all time was “Cake”.

Brad will be deeply missed by his wife Heather, his beautiful children Trinity Jolene & Beck James, his mother Theresa Metz, his In-Laws Doug and Theresa Fercho, and all his surviving family members, friends, and co-workers.

He was preceded in death by his beloved Grandmother Bernetta Metz, Grandfather Louis Metz, and Cousin Devon.
