Glenn Klebe

Glenn was born May 27, 1929 on the family farm near Gardena, ND, the son of Erick and Martha (Stoll) Klebe. He attended country schools in that area and graduated from Gardena High School in 1947.  He furthered his education at Jamestown College graduating with a degree in Business Administration. He also did graduate studies at the University of North Dakota and San Diego State College. 

Glenn entered into active-duty service with the US Army and served with Central Command in France during the Korean Conflict from 1952-1954, rising to the rank of Corporal. He was honorably discharged and employed as a CPA in California for several years before returning to North Dakota.  

Glenn was united in marriage to Kelly Goth on July 7, 1968 at Bismarck. They made their home in Minot, where he was Comptroller at First National Bank (Wells Fargo) and then with Westlie Motor Company. 

Glenn was a member of the Minot American Legion, Junior Chamber of Commerce, Magic City Lions, Colin Brown Y’s Men’s Club, North Dakota State CPA Society, and Minot Hockey Boosters, serving as Treasurer for most.  He was a former member of St Mark’s Lutheran Church, where he served as the Church Treasurer before joining Our Savior Lutheran Church in Minot.  He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, working in his garden, and reading, when he wasn’t transporting his sons to hockey events when they were younger.  More recently he enjoyed spending time with his four grandchildren, watching their sports and musical events, and listening to his sons complain about hauling them to tournaments. 

His loving family includes, wife, Kelly of Minot; sons, Kraig (Jaclyn) Klebe, Minot and Kory (Mari) Klebe, Spicer, MN; grandchildren, Megan, Tripp, Hayden & Josina Klebe; brother-in-law Gaynor (Mae) Goth; nieces and nephews Keven Hayhurst, Karla Koppi, Kelly Hayhurst, Larry Goth, Roger Goth, and Joanna Altman. 

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law Carol and Myron Hayhurst.

Funeral service: Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Savior Lutheran Church, Minot.
Visitation: Wednesday, August 16th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: ND Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, August 17th at 3:00 p.m.
