Ardella E. Johnson, 86, Minot formerly of Carpio, died Monday, July 10, 2023 in a Minot hospital.
Ardella was born October 17, 1936, near Aurelia, ND to Herman and Edna (Schultz) Larson. She grew up and received her education in Donnybrook, ND and graduated from Donnybrook High School with the Class of 1954. She attended two years of college at Minot State.
Ardella married Paul Johnson on October 21, 1956 in Carpio, ND. They called the Johnson family farm located in Plain Township of Ward County home, where together, they raised small grains and cattle. They were blessed with a daughter and a son.
Paul passed away on September 11, 2001. She remained on the farm until moving to Minot in 2011.
Ardella was a former member of Carpio Lutheran Church, where she was active in the maintenance aspect of the church for many years. She enjoyed oil painting and was quite the dancer in her day. She will be remembered for making the best baked buns and her love of music.
Ardella is survived by her daughter Mary (Roger) Johnson, Donnybrook, ND; grandchildren Carrie, Laura, Hope, Nicole and Kaitlyn; great-grandchildren Rylee, Collin, Dawson, Aubree, and Griffen; sister Darlene Stephan, Rochester, MN along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Ardella was preceded in death by her husband Paul, son Aaron, sister Alverda Larsen and brothers Dallas, Verlund and Dale Larson.

Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, ND
Memorials are preferred to Christ Lutheran Church, Minot.
