Bonnie was born on January 18, 1932 to H. Morris and Erma Madson on the family farm. On November 8, 1953, Bonnie married Lewis Subart at Bethany Lutheran Church, Robinson. Together they made their home on his brother’s farm, west of Robinson. To this union, four children were born: Lyla, Denise, Darwin and Kevin.
She was an excellent seamstress, baker and master gardener. She took over the baking of wedding cakes from her mother. Her cakes were exquisite and made to the perfection of each bride’s request. She served as Business Manager for the Robinson Public School until age 81, when the school closed. Bonnie was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church where she participated in numerous church activities.
