Allan Aho

Allan Aho, 87, Stanley died on Monday, May 15, 2023 in a Minot hospital.

Allan Vance Aho was born on August 16, 1935 in Sykes Township of Mountrail County south of Belden, ND to August and Myrtle (Morrell) Aho.  He was raised on the family farm and attended rural school.  As a young adult he was employed on the family farm and was employed in various ways by area farmers and businesses.  He was declined by the U.S. military for health reasons.

As an older adult he was employed in the oil field and at the Tioga Gas Plant and B & D Pipeline.  He retired from that business as a foreman due to health reasons.  Allan had resided in Stanley most of his adult life.

Allan was a “Man of Faith” and enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all he enjoyed providing treats for his nieces and nephews when they visited.

Allan is survived by his sisters: Rita (Curtis) Footh of Berthold and Betty Juma of Minneapolis and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Olga, Ina, Robert, Joe, Evelyn, Vonnedella, Lyle, MSgt Cecil and JoAnn.

Funeral Service: May 25, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church – Minot.  A livestream of the service will be available by using https://www.anchoredminot.com/watch-live
Interment will be in the Belden Finnish Cemetery.
Visitation: May 24th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home – Minot.
