It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie Fisher, aged 52, of Mandan, who peacefully departed this world on May 15, 2023, at Sanford Medical Center after a courageous battle with Large B-Cell Lymphoma Cancer.

A celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held on Saturday, June 3, at 10 am at Bismarck Funeral Home, where friends, family, and loved ones will gather to pay their respects. The service will be officiated by Monsignor Gene Lindermann. Following the ceremony, Bonnie will be laid to rest at Mandan Union Cemetery with her parents.

Bonnie was born on June 6, 1970, in Mandan, ND, to the late Raymond and Luella Fisher. As the eldest of five children, she was raised on the family farm near Wilton, ND. Bonnie received her education at Wilton Public School along Underwood Public School for junior high and high school. In May of 1989, she proudly graduated from Wilton Public School.

For over 20 years, Bonnie dedicated her life to Kroll’s Diner in Mandan, where she worked with utmost dedication and took immense pride in her role. She cherished the relationships she built with customers, often taking the time to sit down and engage in friendly conversations. Bonnie considered her fellow Kroll’s Diner employees as her second family, speaking highly of the owners and expressing gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside them.

Outside of work, Bonnie found joy in various hobbies, including crafts, crossword puzzles, and her love for animals. She was especially fond of her two pugs, who brought her comfort and companionship during her illness.

Bonnie is survived by her loving siblings, Patrick (Laura) Fisher of Horace; Sherri (Robert Hatcher) of Baldwin; Mark (Sara) Fisher of Bismarck; and Dean (Rhonda) Fisher of Wilton. She also leaves behind four nieces, Danielle, Nicole, Emilie and Natalie and four nephews, Timothy, Zachery, Matthew and Blake, as well as two great nephews, Levi and Grayson. Additionally, she is survived by her aunts, Elaine Morrell and her friend Dennis, Jan Hoffman and Cora Fisher and her uncles, Rusty Hoffman, Eugene (Marge) Fisher, Norman Fisher and his fiancée Jeannette and numerous cousins.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Raymond and Luella Fisher, and lifelong partner Stephen Horne, whose losses she felt deeply.

During Bonnie’s illness, the family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Laura Fisher for her unwavering support and care while Bonnie was at the Fargo Hospital. A special thank you also goes to Bonnie’s God Mother, Elaine Morrell, for her compassionate assistance in caring for Bonnie during this difficult time.

May Bonnie Fisher’s memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
