Darrin Huston, 54, of Lincoln, ND, passed away on May 11, 2023, at his home after a six year valiant battle with cancer.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the First Congregational Church, Garrison, ND. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Funeral. Burial to follow at the Garrison Cemetery.
Darrin was born on September 16, 1968, in Garrison to Jim and Gloria (Lagge) Huston. He attended school in Garrison and Fargo.
Darrin moved to Denver for several years and he found his way back home to ND again. He married and was blessed with a son, Logan. He lived in Bismarck for the last 26 years.
He worked with Ideal Concrete in Bismarck his entire career, and was their number 1 man. Darrin was one of the best concrete finishers and lead men around. He also enjoyed helping his brother Rod up at the farm. He and his son Logan would take weekend trips up to the farm to help out whenever they could. Darrin was a farmer at heart. More recently Darrin worked for the Lincoln Park District and made some very good friends. One of his best friends was Nola Cox. Their bond was amazing and she was literally sent to him as an angel on earth. His sister Laurie and Nola were Darrin’s main caretakers towards the end.
Darrin enjoyed his time outdoors hunting and fishing, he had many good times on the boat with his friends. He also enjoyed playing poker with his neighbors on Friday nights.
Darrin is survived by his son, Logan; mother, Gloria; siblings, Steve, Rod, Lynn (Brad), Laurie; and a niece Brooke and nephews Joey and Croix.
Darrin is preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Jim Huston; nephew, Shane Wise; niece, Becky Huston.
