Willard Dill, 80, Regent, died on Friday, April 28, 2023 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Willard’s Celebration of Life Service will be at 1 pm, Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Rev. Elizabeth Parks officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Ladbury Funeral Service. Military Honors will be provided by the Dickinson American Legion Post 3 Honor Guard. Inurnment will take place at the Dickinson Mausoleum at a later date.
Willard was born on March 28, 1943 in Mott, the son of Alvin and Irene (Witte) Dill. It flooded that year and they crawled out the upstairs window and the doctor took him across the river in a suitcase. He was raised and educated in the Regent area, attending New England Public Schools and graduating in 1961. Following his graduation, he served honorably in the North Dakota National Guard.
Willard married Barb Holes and to that union three children were born, David, Stephen, and Rachel. He lived his entire life in the Regent area where he raised hogs, was owner of B & D Rentals, drove semi, owned storage units, and rented out water tankers and belly dumps to the oilfield. He farmed the New England/Regent area most of his life. He was united in marriage to Judy (Kudrna) Adamski on February 3, 1996.
He enjoyed playing cards, gardening, going to the casino and loved animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Janice and Carol. Willard is survived by his wife, Judy; children, David, Stephen (Michelle) and Rachel (friend Chris); step-children, Naomi (Darryl) Wehner, Becky (Arland) Buchholz, Robin (Alvin) Buchanan, Donalda (Randy) Binstock, and Dale (friend Natasha) Adamski; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Alice (Dale) Bautz; and brother, Marvin (Kathy) Dill.
