Lynne Theresa Zuroff

Obituary
Lynne Zuroff, 59, of Mandan, was delivered into the hands of our Lord peacefully in her sleep during the early morning hours of July 4th, 2021 after a brief four-month battle with metastatic breast cancer.  While her fight was short, it was courageous, and she never lost hope.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Todd Kreitinger and Rev. David Morman co-celebrating. Inurnment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan. A Rosary/Parish Vigil will begin at 7:00 PM at Spirit of Life Catholic Church. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Lynne was born on May 30th, 1962 in Fort Carson, Colorado to Gerald and Lavonne (Freitag) Morman.  Her taste for adventure peaked early on as she, her three siblings, and mother moved across the country and world following her father’s expansive military career.  In middle school her family would return to their roots in Glen Ullin, where Lynne graduated high school in 1980.

After high school, Lynne was married and had three children, whom she lovingly raised at home as they moved across the Midwest.  Very outgoing and friendly by nature, she would quickly make friends and settle wherever life took her.  In 2005, Lynne began her 16-year career at Dakota Community Bank in Mandan, eventually becoming a Loan Officer.  This was a job that gave her great joy and happiness, the kind that few find in their occupation.  Her co-workers and customers at the bank were more than simply that – she loved each and every one of you dearly.

Lynne loved many people and things throughout her life, as much as she loved life itself.  She loved and cherished her family, especially her children and grandchildren.  In the little spare time she allowed herself, she loved her adventures and travels.  In the last few years Lynne would see Costa Rica, Israel, Hawaii, many national parks, and would frequently travel to locations from coast-to-coast.  She especially treasured time with her travel partner and loving friend, Duane.

Not wanting to ever be told no, Mom fought her brief fight to the end with a fire and courage few are able to exhibit.  We are extremely proud of our mother.  We Love You.

Lynne leaves to celebrate her life:  Father: Gerald Morman; Sons: Brian (Latasha) Zuroff, Michael (Lisa) Zuroff; Daughter: Kimberly Zuroff; Grandchildren: Aidan, Quinn, and Macy; Sister: Susan (Brad) Brummond; Brothers: Fr. David Morman, Daniel Morman; Numerous Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nephews, Nieces, and special friend Duane Braun.

Lynne was preceded in death by her mother, Lavonne Morman.

The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations in Lynne’s honor be made to Bismarck Cancer Center or to the Diocese of Bismarck to support their mission in Kenya, Africa, which her brother, Fr. David Morman, is deeply involved.
