Garry Hauf, 79, longtime Max area farmer, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Trinity Hospital in Minot surrounded by his loving family. With his dying breath he led his family in praying the Lord’s Prayer and singing Jesus Loves Me.
Garry was born on October 25, 1943 in Minot, the son of Paul and Erna (Wolter) Hauf. He was raised on a farm east of Max. After completing high school, he attended NDSU in Fargo and graduated with a degree in Ag Economics. He served with the ND National Guard from 1966 until 1972.

Garry’s faith in Jesus Christ was priority. He was a life-long member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Max where he was baptized, confirmed and married.
