Dennis Lee Fish, 78, of Minot, ND formerly of Missoula, MT. died Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at a Minot hospital.
Dennis was born October 27, 1944 the son of Raymond and Vernice (Arnold) Fish at Cozad, NE. He was raised for a time in Nebraska and at an early age moved to Boise, ID to be near family. Dennis entered the US Army at Boise, ID March 10, 1967 and was honorably discharged at Ft. Lewis, WA March 2, 1969.
He returned to the Boise community where he began a twenty-year career with Albertson’s and was raised to management status in a short time.
Dennis was united in marriage to Patricia Pitman at Nampa, ID May 1, 1971. To this union one child was born.
Dennis made a career change and began working for Missoula Distributing, a beverage company that served the western Montana region and Sun Valley area near Boise, Idaho. He was well respected in his position as an accomplished leader and manager.
A final career move, later in life, with US Customs and Border Patrol brought Dennis and Patricia to Plentywood, MT and later Malta, MT. This job was a perfect fit for Dennis and they learned to love the beauty and bounty of the upper Midwest region. Dennis enjoyed hunting and fishing wherever they made their home. He retired in 2010 and made their home on the west coast of Washington state. Minot, became their home in 2021.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia, Minot, ND, Sons: Dennis (Heather) Fish, Jr., Las Vegas, NV, Phil (Pam) Fish, of Round Rock, TX and Jason (Beverly) Fish, Las Vegas, NV, numerous grandchildren, sister; Diane Barker, of Pendleton OR, brother; Lloyd (Linda) Fish, Chandler, AZ.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, daughters; Carleen Cochran, Tammy Baldwin and brother, Raymond G. Fish.
No local services have been planned. Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot has been entrusted with his care.
