Georgianne Meduna was born on June 6, 1939 in Dickinson, the daughter of Clement and Emma (Jilek) Meduna. The family lived in the Killdeer area prior to moving to a farm near Schefield in 1947.

Georgianne was united in marriage to Martin S. Zastoupil on October 21, 1959 at St. Pius Catholic Church, Schefield. Together they purchased their farm south of Belfield from his parents and have remained on the farm until the time of her death.

She loved cooking, visiting, dancing (her nickname was “swinging Georgie”), playing cards, gardening, and especially spending time with her family. She had always wanted to be at every event taking place. Above all her faith was very important to her, she even had three of her rosaries turned to gold. She had offered up prayers for someone everyday. Georgianne was a faithful member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers.

Georgianne is survived by her children, Leonard (Dawn), Bismarck, Renee Schneider, Dickinson, Howard, Dickinson, Tina (Todd) Iverson, Belfield, Roseanne (Delbert) Kadrmas, Belfield, Bernie (Phillip) Majhor, Cologne, MN, Richard, Belfield, Diane Wanner, Dickinson, Teresa Lee, Dickinson, Joanne (Jesse) Boltz, Belfield, Marcy (Kevin) Praus, Dickinson, Sarah (Kevin) Diede, Dickinson, and Matthew (Jessica), Dickinson; 29 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Leonard (Sandy) Meduna, Dickinson; and in-laws, Edith Meduna and Peggy Meduna, both of Dickinson.
