Berdeal O. Bergo, a lifetime resident of North Dakota, 95, passed away peacefully February 6, 2023.
A Memorial Service will be Monday, February 20, at 10:30 AM at The Lutheran Church of the Cross in Bismarck. Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 21 at 11:00 AM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Berdeal was born on July 10, 1927, in Bremen North Dakota, one of 6 children of Hans and Ruth Bollingberg. She attended college at Concordia in Moorehead and graduated from NDSU in Fargo with a bachelor’s degree.
In 1950 Berdeal married Kenneth Bergo in Fessenden. They raised three children, Kent, Kaye and Kelly. She had may interesting jobs. This included teaching home economics in Bowman ND and managing the food service department at the State Industrial School in Mandan. Kenny and Berdeal owned and operated the Chateau Inn Pancake House in Bismarck for 13 years. Later in life, she took computer classes at Mary College and Bismarck Junior College and used those skills to work at OMF in Bismarck and Daytons in Minneapolis. When Kenny and Berdeal both retired they traveled to England and Europe and spent several winters in Colorado.
Berdeal will be greatly missed by her daughters Kaye Anderson of Bismarck and Kelly (Jack) Gully of Newell SD; grandchildren, Wendy (Chad) College of New Hope MN
and Chad (Elizabeth) Bergo of Wausau WI; great grandchildren Rachael, Nolan, Lydia College and Carolina, Natalie, Anders Bergo; two sisters, Jane Temanson of St Louis MO and Coreen Sylva of Palm Desert CA.
