Alex Kelsch, 88, passed away January 28, 2023, peacefully at a Bismarck Hospital surrounded by family. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 2, at Church of St. Anne’s in Bismarck.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 1st, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bismarck Funeral Home, with a Rosary and Vigil service at 7:00 PM
Alex was born May 8th, 1934, in Linton, North Dakota. He was the son of Frank and Mary (Wingerter) Kelsch.
On October 25th, 1955, he was united in marriage to Mary Krumm. He was a member of Local 49 Operator’s Union and worked for Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center until his retirement.
He is survived by 5 children, Linda Kelsch of New York, Mary (Bill) Davis of Bismarck, Jim (Nancy) Kelsch of Wisconsin, Sharon Boehm of Bismarck, and Jenny Keim of Jamestown; 13 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. He had a special friend, Mavis Burt.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary, and 6 sisters and 2 brothers. He was the last living sibling.
