Robb Lee LaBonte, 32, of Minot, North Dakota, sadly passed away on January 22, 2023, following a motor vehicle accident. He was born on May 1st 1990, in Minot, North Dakota, to Robert and Lanae LaBonte and graduated from Minot High School in 2009.

Throughout his childhood, Robb and older brother, Donn, would enjoy hunting and curling with their father, taking trips to Medora with their mother to explore museums and indulge in pitchfork fondue, and fishing with cousins at Lake Audubon and Lake Sakakawea.

Most recently, Robb had been employed by LaFleur and Sons.

Robb had a big heart. He was a loving father to Vaida (11), Everett (5) and Declan (4).  He was so proud of his children’s accomplishments no matter how big or small and enjoyed sharing each moment with family.

He was deeply loved by his family and friends. He had a way of connecting with others and could spark a genuine conversation with anyone. He was the joy and the light of any room he entered. He was humble, kind and celebrated others above himself. He was a craftsman and enjoyed creating with wood and was a talented welder. In the last few years of his life, he became a productive gardener and took pride in sharing his homegrown creations with others. He loved to give.

Robb is survived by his children, Vaida, Everett and Declan; his nephews, Jackson (3) and Benson (1); his brother, Donn; his sister-in-law, Laura; and his parents, Robert and Lanae LaBonte.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Otto and Evelyn Tande of Battleview and Don and Loraine LaBonte of Grafton.

The light that Robb cast onto others will never be forgotten by those whom he loved and the many who loved him. We will continue to celebrate his life in reminiscing memories shared and seeing him through the beautiful lives he has created. We LOVE YOU, Robb.
