Jeanette Marshall, 90, Minot and formerly of rural Burlington died on Monday, January 23, 2023 in a Minot assisted living facility.
Luella Jeanette was born on August 31, 1932 in Turtle Lake, ND to Harry and Blanche (Haugen) Thrailkill. She was raised and educated in Des Lacs and graduated from Des Lacs High School in 1951. Jeanette married Glenn Marshall on June 24, 1951 in Minot. They made their home on the Marshall Family Farm in Burlington Township of Ward County near Burlington and she was a fulltime wife, mother and homemaker.
Later, she was a part time employee at the Ramada Inn/International Inn as a banquet server. Jeanette finished her working years at the Arrowhead Piggly Wiggly Deli and in food service at Minot State University. She and Glenn moved to Minot in 1984. Glenn died on September 6, 1997. Most recently she had resided at Edgewood Vista.
Jeanette was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church – Minot, the Eagles Auxiliary and a local homemakers group. She especially enjoyed gardening, cooking and playing cards.
Jeanette’s loving family includes her children: Craig (Debbie) Marshall of Fargo, Connie (John) Fjeldahl of Berthold, Keith (Cindi Strandberg) Marshall of Burlington, Kim (Roger) Phillips of Minot, Kathy (Gordon) Moen of Boone, Iowa and Kelly (Susan Wheeling) Marshall of Burlington; grandchildren: DeAnn (Bob) Schaeffer, Jamison Marshall, Melissa (Rob Aasand) Marshall, Jason Fjeldahl, Kevin (Cassie) Fjeldahl, Scott (Andrea) Fjeldahl, Ryan Marshall, Leigh Marshall, Karlee (Tyler) Fernandez, Justin (Ashley) Phillips, Luke (Liz) Moen, Karissa (Spencer) Welch, Nicole (Chase) Frueh and Kyle (Stephanie) Marshall; great grandchildren: Megan, Courtney, Caitlin, Brittany, Owen and Brady, Jaxon, James, Kayle, Larson, Marshall, Nolan and Abigail, William and Karalyn, Kenadee, Veda and Maisy, Jaleigh and Adrianna, Braeden, Kyler, Haizlee, Nirvana, Moxie, Tyler and Kosmo; great-great grandchild Caleb; siblings: Terry (Barb) Thrailkill and Marilyn (Sid) Iverson all of Mesa, AZ and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings: Donald, Quentin, LaMoure (Jean) Thrailkill and Beverly (Charles) Morris.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park – Minot.
Visitation: Friday, January 27, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to the North Dakota Chapter of the American Diabetes Association.
