Jodi Lynn Pellum, 55, passed away unexpectedly on January 8, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and close friends.

A Celebration of Life & Memorial Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the Bismarck Funeral Home, 3723 Lockport St., Bismarck ND 58503.   A livestream of the service will be available on funeral home website.

Jodi was born on March 8, 1967, in Walterboro, South Carolina. Jodi grew up in Minot, North Dakota, graduating from Minot High School in 1985. After graduating, Jodi moved to Bismarck, where she spent most of her life.

Anyone who knew Jodi knew that she enjoyed living life to the fullest. She loved spending time with friends and family, and especially loved her chihuahua’s Zaya, Sadie, and Pixie, as well as her cat Sasha. She was always looking for her next adventure, traveling and planning trips when she could. Jodi also had a creative and artistic mind, adding her own special touch to any project she worked on.

A big part of Jodi’s life was enriching the lives of people and animals. She worked for Enable Inc, helping to teach individuals to become more independent. However, Jodi’s pride and joy was owning her own business, the Park and Bark Mobile Spa. She enjoyed working with dogs, helping to groom and style them, but most of all she cherished the customers she worked with.

Jodi immediately lit up any room she entered and made an impact on so many people. She was a joyful presence, and we will miss her greatly.

Jodi was preceded in death by her mother, Genevieve “Jennie” Hoffer; her brother Michael Pellum; grandparents Martin and Mary Hoffer, grandparents Art and Georgina Joachim, and two of her fur babies, Zoey and Chloe, whom she loved very much.

She is survived by her father Lonnie (Liana), her biological father Jake (Audrey), her sisters Karen, Traci, and Jill, nieces Ashley (John) and Tiffany, nephews Christopher, Destin, and Kayson, aunts Bernadynne (Ed), Annie (Mike), Deb (Nate), Karla (Doug), uncle Barry (Susan), and lifelong best friend Wendi.  Jodi will be missed by many cousins, extended family, and close friends.

The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at the Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck for their excellent care and compassion during Jodi’s short stay. They’d also like to thank family friends Gene, Linda, and Mike who spent time with Jodi prior to her passing and made her feel very loved.
