Joseph Gary Jangula (Jinx) age 71 of Mandan gained his angel wings on Sunday December 18th, 2022. Services will be at 11:00am Thursday December 29th at the Bismarck Funeral Home 3723 Lockport St. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will be held at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
He was born March 19th, 1951, to Joseph & Zyta (Majeski) Jangula in Garden City, KS.
After graduating high school, Gary proudly joined the Air Force. He married Ethel Wisner & of that union came his two children, Gus & Donita, who he was so proud of.
After being honorably discharged, he came back home to Mandan. For many years he was an ironworker and boilermaker. Later, he started working at the ND State Penitentiary where he was a Boiler Operator until he retired.
Gary loved anything outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping. He also loved his toys. He had countless snowmobiles, motorcycles, dune buggies, boats, cars & trucks throughout his life.
Most of all he loved his family & friends. He was certain he was mom’s favorite & spent lots of time with her. His friends were lifelong friends, a second family to him & he would do anything he could for them.
Gary is survived by his son, Gus (Jeanette) Hector MN; daughter, Donita Andreason (Aaron) Nampa ID, 5 grandkids; 1 great grandchild; mother, Zyta LeRoy, Mandan; siblings, Sharon, Mandan, John (Bonnie) Fargo, Bob (Cindy) Fruitland ID, Rita (Randy) Frohlich, Mandan, Jane (Tim) Gross, Bismarck, Larry, Hermosa SD; as well as many nieces & nephews who were all special to him & numerous friends.
He is proceeded in death by his father Joseph, infant brother Tommy, nephew Timmy.
