Vincent Compeau

Vincent Compeau, 60, Makoti and formerly of New Town died on Monday, November 28, 2022 in his home.

Vincent Richard Compeau was born on February 24, 1962, in Cavalier, ND to Raymond Compeau and Vivian (Richotte) Compeau.  He received his High School GED in 1980.  Vincent enlisted in the U.S. Army on September 9, 1980. He served as a paratrooper and Infantry at Fort Bragg, NC with the 8ZN Airborne 505 Infantry Company, prior to his honorable discharge on September 8, 1986.  Following his discharge, he attended the University of North Dakota where he studied general health.

Vincent was once married to Sherry Howard.  They made their home in Grand Forks where they gave birth to their daughter Amber Compeau. Most recently Vincent had been employed by Northrup – Grumman as a Cable Harness Technician for the past thirteen years and had resided in Makoti for the past eleven years.  Vincent married Cindy Aleman on June 16, 2017 in Minot.  They had continued to reside in Makoti.

Vincent especially enjoyed woodworking, fishing, space, and computer. He was a spiritual man, a Sweat Hogg, Sundancer, and pipe carrier.

Vincent was always had an amazing personality and will be remembered most for his sense of humor and quick comebacks.

Vincent’s loving family includes his wife: Cindy; daughter: Amber (Dustin) Ostgard; stepchildren: Randy Carr, Jamie Carr, Gracie Wall, Gustavo Grady, Julio Grady and Gabriel Grady; siblings:  Danny Compeau and Lila Olsen; Granddaughters Maylee and Madi, several nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunts and Uncles.

Vincent was preceded in death by his parents Raymond Compeau and Vivian Ann Richotte; brother Ricky Myron Michael and sister Cheryl Kahlbaugh.

A celebration of Vincent’s life will take place sometime in June 2023.
