Josephine Mogler

Josephine Mogler, 98, Minot, died Saturday, November 19, 2022 in a Stanley nursing home.

Josephine was born on June 22, 1924, on the family farm near Arlington, SD, to Charles and Polly (Goodrich) Armstrong. Josephine attended school and graduated from Arlington High School in 1943.

She married her high school sweetheart, Lyle Mogler of Badger, SD. They moved to Watertown, SD and were blessed with a son, Douglas. Lyle was employed at Nash Finch and Josephine worked at JCPenney. They moved to different cities several times with Nash Finch and finally settled in Minot, ND where Josephine worked at Woolworths for many years.

 Josephine loved to garden. She had a beautiful flower garden and also crocheted several afghans. Over the years, Lyle and Josephine’s love for travel took them to California many times to see Douglas and to many countries around the world.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Lyle, son Douglas; her parents, sister Lavina, and brother Howard.

Left to cherish her memory include her sister, Betty Mohror, Watertown, SD; brother Delbert Armstrong, New Braunfels, TX; a host of nieces and nephews; and two dear friends Sharon Bakken and Judy Boley of Minot, ND.

Josephine’s final resting place will be Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, SD. No formal services are planned at this time.
