Connie Joann Zeitler, 65, Minot, ND and formerly of Lake Park, Iowa died Sunday, November 20, 2022 in a Minot hospital.
Connie was born January 2, 1957, in Sioux City, Iowa to Manford and Deloris (Newton) Hansen. She was raised and educated in Sioux City, where she graduated from West High School in 1975.
Connie was once married to Harold Shear. They were blessed with two children. She spent her working years as a dietary aide, cooking for residents of nursing care facilities located in Lake Park and Sioux City, Iowa.
Connie was blessed in her life with loving relationships to Surl Mcknight, James Zeitler and Alfred Morriston.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, coloring books and a good game of skip-bo. Camping with family filled summer weekends and her love of animals was shown through her numerous pets blessed to share in her life.
Connie is survived by her children Harold (Cheryl) Shear, Sioux City, Iowa, Jane Shear and Tony (Toni) Shear, both of Minot; stepchildren Robert (Taresa) Moriston, Lake Park, Iowa and Terry Moriston, Duluth, MN; grandchildren Ricky, Hailey and Taylor Shear, Raven Shear, Sarah and Joshua Jenkins; siblings Kathy Waterson, Russell Hansen, Harold Hansen, Pearl Harrison, Mickey Weber, and Harvey Hansen along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents and spouses/companions, Harold Shear, Surl McKnight, James Zeitler and Alfred Moriston.
Celebration of Connie Zeitler: 2:00 p.m. December 10, 2022 at Turner Jenness Funeral Home Chapel, Lake Park, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service and the church and locally in Minot on Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Silver Lake Cemetery, Lake Park, Iowa
