Linda Jane (Mateer) Farver, 68, Bismarck, passed away July 7, 2021. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 12 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 106 Osage Ave., Bismarck. Family will greet guests one-hour prior at the church.

Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery.
Linda was born in Trenton, New Jersey, on February 11, 1953 and was adopted at the age of four months to Betty Jane and Roy Mateer of Willingboro, New Jersey. Linda grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Palmyra High School, Palmyra, New Jersey. She graduated from Deleware Valley Academy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a degree to work as a Medical Assistant. In 1972 the family moved to Orlando, Florida, where she worked in the foliage industry. She continued her education as a Surgical Technician and upon graduation accepted a position with Orange County Memorial Hospital in Orlando, Florida, Hospital Health Testing Lab and Family Practice Center in Orlando.
She met and married Dale Farver of Williston in 1981. They resided in Williston where she worked at Mercy Hospital. They relocated to Bismarck in 1983 and she accepted a position as a Medical Transcriptionist for Q & R Clinic. A further move to Willison where she worked for Transcriptions Unlimited and helped launch the Medical Transcription Training Program for Willison State College. She continued with the college teaching for several years. She was requested by the State of North Dakota to continue the training program. She enjoyed many friendships and experiences with the organization.
Dale and Linda adopted a son in July 1990, Tyler Alan Farver. He passed away in January 1991. They adopted Colby Reid Farver in October 1992. They made their home in Bismarck until her death.
She is survived by husband, Dale Alan Farver, Bismarck; son, Colby Reid (Mareta) Farver, Bismarck; grandson, Samwise Reid Farver, Bismarck; sister, Denise (William) Urban, Palm Harbor, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Kay (William) Erd, Winter Park, Fla., and Debra (Ronald) Bingeman, Williston; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
