Teressa Joy Long Elk
Passed into the Spirit World September 25, 2022.
Teressa was born May 18, 1993, in Duluth, MN; to Terrance “Terry” Long Elk and Karen Many Ribs – Skye. She is a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and most of all mother. She attended school in Duluth, MN, Bismarck, and CHS in Crookston. She received her GED 2012. During her times in High School, she enjoyed basketball and track and field. Teressa also played the violin.
During her stay in Crookston, she met Jose Ibanez whom she had a first-born son Brayden James Long Elk. She enjoyed all the accomplishments of her children, big or small.
She is survived by her children, Brayden James Long Elk, Ilyana Amira Quinones, Draya Emeral Long Elk, and Nealani Renee Rogers; mother, Karen Skye (Harlan Skye Stepfather); brother, Orlen Smith Jr., Darris Grant; uncle, Lorenzo Many Ribs, her Long Elk Family: aunts, Celeste Long Elk, Marsha Long Elk; uncle, Julian ‘Chet’ Long Elk; and many cousins; Ibanez family: Jesus & Gloria, Jessica Ibanez, Stephanie (Jerome), Mary Alex Ibanez (Jonathan), Julie (Duane) and Samuel; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Terrance Long Elk; brother, Daniel Smith; sister, Darshayne Long Elk; maternal grandparents, Alfreda Red Fox- Many Ribs, Daniel Many Ribs; paternal grandparents, Chauncey Long Elk, Ethel Flying Horse; significant other, Jose Angel Ibanez.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 30, 2022, at the White Shield Complex. Wake Services will start at 5:00 PM on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at the White Shield Complex.
