Martha Margaret Lang, 101, Minot, died Wednesday, September 21, 2022, in a Minot Assisted Living Facility.

Martha was born on September 15, 1921, at Mercer, North Dakota, the daughter of Theobold and Margaret (Deg) Hofer. She was raised at Mercer and educated at Mercer and Velva, prior to graduating from Sawyer High School in 1940.

Martha was united in marriage to Warren W. Lang on November 2, 1941, at Sawyer. They made their home in Minot, where along with raising their four children, she was employed as a nurse’s aide at St Joseph’s Hospital from 1957-1981. She retired in 1981. Warren died May 6, 2007.

Martha was a longtime member of St Paul’s Lutheran Church, where she was active with the LWML and had served the organization as past president. She enjoyed doing crafts, knitting, doing puzzles and was an avid reader. She enjoyed visits with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her loving family includes, Kim (Leslie) Lang, Stanley, Keith (Varden) Lang, Minot, Connie (Leo) O’Connor, Minot and Kevin (Terri) Lang, Minot; 5 grandchildren to include, Kasey (Andrea) Lang, Sarah (Danny) Sem, Kristen (Jordan) Carpenter, Gwendy (Tim) Van Dongen and Jada Lang; 3 step grandchildren to include, Jennifer Vaage, Michelle (Justin) Wenger and Jonathan (Heather) Vaage; 6 great grandchildren to include, Kaylee, Kristian, Kenna, Maddy, Maggie and Mahlee; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of nearly 60 years; granddaughter, Cassi Lang; brothers, Otto and Arthur and sisters, Emelia, Emma, Pauline, Bertha and Jean.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Monday, September 26th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to St Paul’s Lutheran Church, Minot.
