Erik Jon Lindquist, 28, passed away August 23, 2022, in Goodland, KS. He was born November 23, 1993, in Orange, CA, the son of Joel and Vickie Lindquist. Erik graduated from Troy High School in Fullerton, CA and attended Kansas Wesleyan in Salina, KS where he was a member of the golf
team.
Erik was an avid sports fan! The Los Angeles Angels, Anaheim Ducks, Tiger Woods and the Minnesota Vikings were some of his favorites. A talented golfer and a gifted coach, Erik was a natural when it came to helping others on the golf course. Needless to say, Erik’s giving nature wasn’t exclusive to sports. He was a kind & positive person who knew just what to say when those close to him needed support. His best friend said that in her
darkest days, Erik always found a way to bring in the light. He had the biggest heart and the kindest soul.
Erik is survived by his parents Joel and Vickie Lindquist of Garrison, ND, his sister Kayla (Mandi McLarney) and Grama Phyllis Hempenius of California. He leaves behind many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his uncle Jon Lindquist, grandfather
Richard Hempenius, grandmother and grandfather Claryce and Harold Lindquist.
There will be a Celebration of Life at Camp of the Cross near Garrison, ND on Sunday, September 4th at 4:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to share a celebratory meal after the service. He will be buried at the Our Savior Lutheran Cemetery south of Max at a later date.
