Adeline Viola Krueger was born April 1, 1927, on the family (Heller) farm near Fredonia to Arnold and Elizabeth Gutschmidt. She attended country school until grade eight.

She married Leo Krueger on December 24, 1947. They raised their family on a farm near Fredonia. They were married for 50 years until Leo passed away in February 1998. They lived on the same farm for those 50 years. Adeline loved the farm life and no matter where she moved, she longed to be back there.

Leo and Adeline were members of the Nazareth Congregational Church in Fredonia. Adeline moved to Bismarck, Fargo, then back to Bismarck at Missouri Slope Assisted Living to be closer to family.

Adeline was remarkably resilient and always looked for the positive in bad situations. One of her favorite sayings was “It is what it is.”

She is survived by daughters, Linda (Jake) Raile, West Fargo, and Kimberly (Steven) Buchholz, Minot; son, Joel (Bonnie) Krueger, Bismarck; grandchildren, Mitch and Jessica Raile, Nicholas and Joseph (Bekah) Krueger, Megan Peterson and Marcy Buchholz; great-grandchildren, Adrianna, Emerson and Jacoby Raile, Amelia and Mason Krueger; and sister, Virginia Twete, Fargo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; daughter, Jean; son, James; and sisters, Mabel, Marcella and Florence.
