Caroline Koch, 62, Mandan, passed away August 8th, 2022 at Enable Inc. while receiving hospice care through Sanford Hospice.
A Memorial Service will held at 10AM Friday, August 26th at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Burial will take place at the Mandan Union Cemetery.
Caroline was born to Albert & Frances (Klein) Koch on May 6th, 1960 in Mandan.
During her childhood, she lived with her Uncle Edward’s family, then with her grandparents in California, until moving back to North Dakota, attending Mandan Public Schools Special Education Program.
As an adult, she moved to Grand Forks working various jobs until moving back to Bismarck in 1984 to be closer to family. While in Bismarck, she started receiving services through local providers until significant health declines necessitated a move into residential placement.
During this time, considered her retirement, she received services through Enable & HIT Inc. participating in activities, with some of her favorite being yarning, coloring & drinking iced coffees. She will be remembered for her quick wit & turning on her charm to the new people she’d meet.
She is survived by her siblings, Kevin Koch, Mandan; Linda (John) Conlon, Richardton; Julie (Fran) Silbernagel, Jamestown; Kenny Koch, Mandan; and many aunts/uncles, nieces/nephews & cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Frances, aunts, uncles, cousins & her favorite Uncle Eddie.
