Apollo Vincent Stearns

Apollo Vincent Stearns went to be with our Lord after a hard-fought battle with neuroblastoma on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. Apollo’s Celebration of Life Service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Pastor Ron Dazell officiating.

Apollo laughed and smiled throughout his two years and two months; bringing happiness and love to everyone he saw.

Apollo is survived by his beloved parents, Connor Stearns and Deserae Bezek; maternal grandparents, Jody Morris and David Bezek; maternal great-grandparent, Karen Harper; paternal grandparents, Cara Stearns, John and (step-mother) Deanna Bren; paternal great-grandparents, Dona Bren, Conrad and Lana Stearns; aunts and uncles on Deserae’s side, Britney and Devin Bezek; aunts and uncles on Connors side, Faith Olmstead, Copper, and Emerson Bren; and numerous other relatives and friends who loved Apollo very much.

Apollo was born at CHI St. Alexius Dickinson on June 11, 2020. Since birth, Apollo was always a fighter, he was born 13 weeks early (27 weeks instead of 40) at 2.7 lbs. and 14 in. long. Since he was born premature, he was in the Bismarck Sanford NICU for 90 days. Then shortly after his first birthday, he was diagnosed with neuroblastoma.

Throughout all of this Apollo still spent his days smiling and lighting up every room he came into. Apollo loved sitting on everyone’s lap to show off his toys, bracelets and his temporary tattoos. He enjoyed kicking his feet and dancing to music, especially his favorite song, “Life Goes On” by Oliver Tree. This is just a few of the many things he loved doing as he was always very active.

Apollo joined Heaven with his great-grandpa, Vince Bren.

His family would like to thank the wonderful nurses, for the amazing care they provided to Apollo and the entire family. The family also appreciates all of the thoughts and prayers to us during this time.
