John “JB” MacInnis

John “JB”  Bradley MacInnis, 18, passed away July 5, 2022.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, at Kidder County High School, 101 4th St SE, Steele.

A prayer service will be held 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 16, at Kidder County High School, Steele.

John was born on July 23, 2003, to Mindy Heinz and John MacInnis in Bismarck. He attended Steele Elementary School and Kidder County High School, graduating with the class of 2022.

He worked with his grandparents, Brad and Cindy, in the summer doing construction work and the chuckwagon.

John liked to hunt and fish. He loved all things outdoors. He loved spending time with his friends and family. He loved people and was happy to spend time with everyone. He was a gentle giant who was considered a teddy bear by many in the family. He always had a smile on his face and a hug to give. He was a treasure to all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

John is survived by his mother, Mindy Heinz; step-father, Trevor Demaray; father, John MacInnis; step-mother, Kellie MacInnis, Eugene, OR; brothers, Jayden, Ronin, and Corbin; sisters, Sophia and Savannah; grandparents, Brad and Cindy Heinz; Douglas and Michelle Demaray, and John MacInnis I; great-grandparents, Lorna Fetzer, Arlene Heinz-Halter and Linda Kapp, Jackie and Shirley Demaray; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his best friends, Justin Wagner, Corrine Johnson, Brianna Krein, and Parker Krein.

John was preceded in death by his aunt, Amanda; grandparents, Richard Fetzer, Warren Wallenvein, Nick Halter, Bernard Heinz, and Majorie Crouse-Baird; great-grandparents, Ellsworth and Mildred Larson, Matt and Stella Scheetz, George and Pauline Heinz, Mary and Jim Bartholomew and John and Mary MacInnis.
